Tree maintenance services from Sacombs Ash Trees.
Crown lifting, reduction and thinning:
Today, clients are very aware of the environmental and amenity value of trees and, like a good tree surgeon, they prefer to live with trees as opposed to having them felled or dismantled when they become too large for their gardens.
Crown lifting and reduction can prevent a tree from becoming unmanageable, where its proximity to buildings, greenhouses, children's play areas, overhead power cables or telephone lines is becoming problematic.
Pruning and the removal of dead wood:
Pruning can be very important where new vigorous growth is to be encouraged, or where a little more light is required, such as a tree close to a window.
It is important that pruning is carried out at the correct time of year to minimise "bleeding" (where fluids from the tree continue to seep from the pruned area) and to encourage rapid healing to minimise the risk of fungal and parasitic attack.
The removal of dead, diseased or damaged branches is important, particularly in the immediate proximity to children's play areas and outbuildings such as greenhouses.
Sacombs Ash Trees can advise on the optimum time of year to prune trees.
Felling:
Felling is usually carried out where a tree is diseased, dying or dead. Sacombs Ash Trees fell trees in a controlled manner, minimising the risk of injury and damage to property.
Dismantling:
Where felling is not appropriate due to space restrictions such as the tree leaning towards a greenhouse, outbuilding, road or telephone line, or a tree may have out grown the boundary fences of the property, then the tree must be dismantled.
At Sacombs Ash Trees we dismantle trees safely, removing sections of the tree one at a time and lowering them carefully to the ground. To do this we use a combination of cutting techniques, ropes, friction devices and pulleys to ensure that the tree is dismantled and lowered to the ground in a controlled and safe manner.
Sacombs Ash Trees has considerable experience in dismantling many species of tree in very demanding environments.
Tree Preservation Orders and Conservation Areas:
If a tree is subject to a Tree Preservation Order or if it is within a Conservation Area, permission from the relevant Local Authority must be obtained before any work is carried out; this includes pruning.
We are able to assist with this application process or act as an agent to secure this permission.
Stump Removal:
Sacombs Ash Trees removes stumps by using a 27 Horse Power Vermeer Stump Grinder, which leaves the area level for re-planting or for re-seeding. With the stump removed a mower can safely mow without fear of damage to its blades or deck.
At 35 inches wide, self-propelled and fully manoeuvrable, this stump grinder can get through most garden gates.
Garden clearance and hedge trimming:
Sacombs Ash Trees has the equipment and manpower to perform even the most difficult garden clearances. Our climbing experience ensures that even the most difficult and highest of hedges can be trimmed.
Insurance:
Sacombs Ash Trees are fully qualified to carry out all forms of tree maintenance and have £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance. Please feel free to ask to see a copy of our insurance certificate whenever we quote.
